WaterSpec Lab collects anonymous, aggregated analytics about which pages are read. The System Finder runs in your browser and the water test numbers you enter are not transmitted to us or stored. We do not sell data, and we do not ask you for an email address to see a result.
What we collect
Aggregate analytics: which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the reader was, and which site or assistant sent them. This is used to decide what to write next.
What we do not collect
The numbers you enter into the System Finder are not sent to us. The calculation runs in your browser. We do not store your hardness reading, your iron level, your address, or anything else about your water.
We do not require an email address to use any tool on this site. There is no gated result, no “enter your email to see your recommendation.”
Affiliate links
Some outbound links are affiliate links. When you follow one, the destination merchant may set a cookie recording that you arrived from here, so that a resulting purchase is attributed to us. That mechanism is how the site is funded, and it is described in full on the affiliate disclosure page.
